Our 2nd course of the year was held at Rainton Farm, Gatehouse of Fleet on 9th and 10th September. The course was well attended with 14 trainees who completed 28 metres of wall over the 2 days.

The first photo shows Nic Coombey giving his first introduction speech as an instructor and he is supported by seasoned instructor, Niall Baird.

On the Saturday the weather was reasonably good but what a change on the Sunday as we experienced heavy showers and ,at times, gale force winds. That day we were really grateful for the use of a farm trailer, normally used for farm tours, kindly supplied by David Finlay.

Not withstanding the weather, everyone enjoyed the weekend course and also the catering.

Though not able to attend herself, our secretary prepared all the food and shipped it down to the site. Our sincere thanks go to Linda for the catering and to Anna and Kirsty for heating and serving the food, including teas and coffee which were always on tap.

The first course of the year was held at Loch Arthur Community, Beeswing on 22nd & 23rd April.

Six trainees attended the course and were under the instruction of Jim Scott a master craftsman. According to the follow-up reports, everyone enjoyed the weekend and no doubt the excellent weather conditions helped.

Sadly, we were without our secretary and caterer due to ill health and we would like to thank Sandra Dunn, for coping on her own. We also have to thank Sandra's daughter for providing the transport for Sandra or there would have been no lunches or teas on offer.
